German Flecktarn Field Shirt

Flecktarn, my beloved

After the Cold War era, as Germany reunited as one, they needed a new camouflage pattern that was modern and would be supplied to all of their troops. After looking into the past at their previous “dot” type patterns, they adapted them to Flecktarn. It blends in extremely well in the forests of Europe and North America.

These smart looking fieldshirts fasten at the front with buttons and/or a zipper and have adjustable velcro wrists. Truly hitting that sweet spot between stylish and utilitarian, these shirts are nice to look at AND built to last.

Sizing:

Sizes are done in 2 ways for the German Army. First, for simplification, they have a numbered system of 1 through 20. Secondary to this, each number through 20 has measurements assigned to them. For example, Size 14 is 180-190/101-105. The second set of numbers is as we said, measurements, in CM. So the first number 180-190 is the height range of the user in CM. The second number is 101-105 which is the range in CM for the chest measurement of the user. So Size 14 is for a person who stands between 180-190cm tall (5’9”-6’2”) and with a chest measuring 101-105cm (39.7”-41.3”).
