The Display Piece to MAKE your display

In the market for a gasmask that just doesn’t look cool collecting dust on your mannequin or in your closet? Need something a lil more tactical or tacticool (depending on your needs). Misty Mountain Supply is proud to come through with authentic British Armed Forces GSR (General Service Respirator) gas masks, the current issue fifth generation protective mask of the British military and Danish Forsvaret (Armed Forces). The need for proper CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) protection is often overlooked, a problem that we attempt to remedy!

The story of these GSRs is a typical one, starting with a small batch of five hundred sent for testing by the British military, competing under the Common User Tasks, Special to Arms and Hot Weather (In Australia!) trials. After completion in 2006, they saw production later that year, seeing adoption and training beginning in 2010, with the first batch going to British soldiers stationed in Germany. While the face piece of the mark I 2005 tester models were constructed with a gloss appearance with ribbed cheeks portions, this was changed in 2006 to a matte layer that would be the current iteration seen today. When it comes to not only a capable, but top of the line option, this mask is both iconic and withstood the test of modern needs! Don’t miss out on a fully operational and efficient gas mask choice, grab one of these today!

Field Notes/Misty Supply Musings/Potential Uses/Trivia

  • NOTE: These GSR Gas Masks offer much higher levels of CBRN protection than their S10 Gas Masks predecessors, as these were designed to be worn for far longer periods of time, being able to withstand twenty four hours of CBRN threats versus the four hours of the S10.

  • These masks although sized, tend to run a little big. It’s a safe bet if you’re on the threshold of a size, that you would fit the smaller mask just fine.
