USGI M1951/MQ-1 Hats Grade 3

The M1943, but without a brim liner. Yeah, that’s literally it.

MIXED SIZES FOR THIS LISTING ONLY.

The M1951 cap is truly iconic. Anyone who sees it, knows exactly what it is. Maybe they only know from M.A.S.H, but they know. This hat was an update to the M1943 Pile Cap in which the lining under the brim was removed and the liner was later changed to Wool rather than Alpaca Fur. That said, the transitional MQ-1 variant which was produced in small numbers still retains the alpaca fur lining.

These hats are warm, can be worn with ears up or down and have a folding brim to cut wind or keep the sun out of your eyes. They are excellent in the field.

That said, some of these have seen better days. The condition is mixed, but all will be usable, but expect some grime and some wear. This might look like some of the fur or wool lining having separated in areas and/or some fraying on the brim. If you wish to make a repair, it will be a simple and quick job, but the hats are all usable as they arrive. Just with some character.

Again, these hats are generally about 70 years old, saw usage in Korea and are being sold as GRADE 3 condition. There will be defects with the hat you receive, it may be repairable, but it will require more than a quick stitch.
