USGI M16A2 Top Sling Adapter
Fixed stock and front sight supremacy, finally realized
Before the army changed their furniture to be a little more accommodating, the M16 had a problem. You could only mount the sling to a rifle in 1 way. That was under the stock and under the muzzle. Think of how “Grandpa Joe” would sling his rifle. That’s the only way you could use it. Looks iconic, cool even, but it’s not exactly ergonomic for situations where you want to retain your rifle and actually use it at a moments notice. Enter the Top Sling Adapter.
This simple kit provides a proper mounting solution for rifles with a fixed front sight post and a fixed stock. You could also just choose to use only half of the kit if you have a fixed stock and not a fixed from sight post and vice versa. Each kit comes in a bag from the factory and with instructions on how to assemble it. Tada! Like magic, your sling now allows you to comfortably carry your rifle in front of your body!

For this price, its hard to beat. Mr. Misty absolutely uses half of this kit to give his over/under 12ga a rear sling mount without having to drill one into the stock.
