Delicious Military Issue Breakfast!
The Canadian Forces has cheaped out on a lot well.. Pretty much everything.. One thing they have never cheaped out on however, is the food. The Canadian IMP has a long history of being excellent. These rations are mostly recently expired with an expiry of December 31st 2023. Some will be expiring in December of 2024.
Each meal generally includes (with some variety):
Main Meal Item
Desert Item (Often fruit in syrup)
Beverage Powder (huge assortment of flavors)
Bread
Coffee
Sugar
Whitener
Chocolate Bar
Gum
Spread for bread
And of course, each meal will also contain: Salt, Pepper, MRE Spoon, Towelette, Matches, Paper Towel and a Toothpick.
These meals have been stored in a cool, dry and dark place and although are slightly past the expiry, you can take comfort in knowing they’ve been treated with utmost care.
