British Army PVC Jerkin
No we aren’t JERKIN your chain :DDD
The mighty British Leather Jerkin is well known for providing warm and freedom of movement in the field, it was used from WW1 all the way into the second world war. Often made up of smaller pieces of leather stitched together due to rationing and lined with rough wool. After WW2 ended, the British continued to produce jerkins, however, they switched over to PVC/”Pleather” to cut costs and provide a more consistent build. The design also uses plastic buttons rather than the originals which used bakelite. Aside from these two changes, they are still built exactly like the WW1 and WW2 originals and are perfect not only for actual use without worrying about wrecking a historical artifact, but also are great for reenacting!
These are post war examples dated from the late 1950s to early 1960s. They are in BRAND NEW condition and appear completely unused. They are size 3 (LARGE) only.
The second photo in the gallery shows a WW2 leather version for comparison.
