The Vietnamese Commandos (đặc công) are one of the special units of the Vietnamese People’s Army. They undergo rigorous training with extra weapons, demolitions and more. They are truly a force to be reckoned with. As expected, any items for this elite group are issued and produced in limited numbers. These are almost never seen outside of Vietnam. It is highly unlikely we will ever be able to restock these rarities.
These vests are issued to the đặc công for carrying a ton of firepower. They are meant to support the user through an extended firefight carrying a mixture of pistol magazines, hand grenades and rifle magazines. They’re in iconic Vietnamese copy of “beach side” Frogskin camouflage and are extremely eye-catching.
These vests allow the user to carry:
4x Rifle Magazines
2x Small Radios
2x Pistol Magazines
4x Hand Grenades
A small pistol
2× 1L Canteens
1x Special Equipment (usually breaching charges and det cord) in the leftmost rear pouch
A full length “trapper” pouch in the upper back for carrying whatever you desire
2x Deep zippered pockets on the front (which can easily fit another 3x rifle magazines each for a grand total of 10 rifle magazines if you desire across all of the pouches)
These vests are great bang for buck. Truly the “Battle Jacket” of Asia. Not only are they super functional, but also essentially never seen outside of military hands, so don’t miss your chance at them.
These vests are completely unissued. They’re an excellent build quality, save one thing. The zipper pulls. For some reason they’re really brittle. Expect to have to replace them at some point.
Sizing is in line with general t-shirt sizing. If you wear a medium t-shirt the medium vest will fit, etc etc.
