Vietnamese Army Current Issue Chest Rig (K07 Woodland Pattern)

The Vietnamese learned a lot from the Vietnam War. One of the their biggest takeaways was rugged simplicity. Being able to equip your troops with rugged but simple and easy to produce equipment was highly important.

Their current issue chest rig is a shining example of this ethos. It is essentially a modernized Chinese Type 81 Chest Rig. It features 4 Pockets for rifle magazines (single stack) and 6 grenade pouches (seem like they would fit 20rd AR magazines too).

The simple upgrades are:

  • Easily adjustable straps

  • Buckles for pouches

  • Buckle and slider for the back strap

  • Camouflage material rather than solid colour

These things rock. They’re lightweight, tough and they’ll run either AK or AR pattern magazines with no trouble. They do fit 7.62×39 AK magazines too!

These are UNISSUED surplus and thus are BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW and even come with the inspection certificate from the factory!
