In this day and age, the LARPbros such as ourselves run the debate over what is the optimal kit meta. It’s been “Cult of Speed” versus “Walking Tank Kit” with Load Bearing Equipment being compared to plate carrier setups… We’ve all seen SMERSH or more commonly Alex kit loadouts, but if you’re in the market for something a little more unique and nuanced, we bring you our latest candidate on the market… a USGI FLC vest, with the uncommon tri-coloured finish, to boot. Stand out from your band of brothers with this unique means of carrying your endless swathe of MOLLE pouches, as you waddle around at top speed looking like the Chicom rig operator from Hell (or the GWOT). The full name of the FLC is Fighting Load Carrier, and is a MOLLE system entirely, intended to both fit under a larger harness system as a backup, or a standalone ultra fast setup. A backup will really help in either configuration, and reduce the front heavy load if you plan on maximizing your MOLLE webbing capabilities. Theoretically, you could go hybrid between both kit meta and even slip a low profile plate carrier under/over the FLC vest, but we can’t attest to how useful/useless this would be. Once again, the choices are endless, and once you take the LBE leap,the choices will be all yours!
