Okay, but let me be super serious for a second. As someone who has been there and done that with moving casualties in the field, dragging is not fun. The best method is to have a litter and ideally some helping hands. Having used stretchers/litters with and without poles, the easiest to navigate tight spaces or difficult terrain with were always the poleless litters. They’re also the lightest by far.

Made of 100% nylon, these litters are strong, but fairly lightweight. They have several belts that can be tightened to secure the casualty as well as 3 handles on each side with which to carry from.

As someone who spends a lot of time in the backcountry with friends, you won’t catch me without one of these packed up in my bag in case someone is unable to walk out due to injury.

Although these are visually the same model that was used in the Vietnam War, these are all later dates. Mostly late 80s and early 1990s.

Very good and seemingly unused condition.
