USGI M1943 Pile Cap

CA$35.00

The M1943, a WW2 Design, but relevant still today.

The M1943 Pile Cap is truly iconic. Anyone who sees it, knows exactly what it is. Well.. Maybe they only know it successor, from M.A.S.H, but they know. This hat is essentially the same as an M1951 cap, but with a lining under the brim, and the smugness that comes with knowing you are likely wearing a hat that saw service in the second world war, and is still keeping someone warm 80 years later.

These hats are warm, can be worn with ears up or down and have a folding brim to cut wind or keep the sun out of your eyes. They are excellent in the field.

That said, some of these have seen better days. The condition is mixed, but all will be usable, but expect some grime and some wear. This might look like some of the fur or wool lining having separated in areas and/or some fraying on the brim. If you wish to make a repair, it will be a simple and quick job, but the hats are all usable as they arrive. Just with some character.

Again, these hats are generally about 80 years old, saw usage in the Second World War and Korea and are being sold as USED condition. There may be small defects with the hat you receive, easy repairs though.
