USGI Alicepack Alluminum Frame
These sturdy aluminum frames allow you to get some much needed structure when carrying heavy or large loads with either a Medium or Large Alicepack. The Alicepack mates with the frame by sliding the pack on top through the slit on the rear of the pack. There are also tie downs at the bottom of the pack. The straps are then attached to the frame rather than the pack. You would then attach a kidney pad/belt to the pack to provide comfort and more stability. These frames can probably be used with other packs as well, but mileage may vary.
These frames are sold as the frame only. Kidney belts can be found fairly commonly and for cheap on ebay and other sites.
