USGI 4 Cell Bandolier
An army fights on it’s stomach, but having extra bullets doesn’t hurt either.
After the Vietnam War, the US was fully standardized on 30rd magazines and therefore needed to change it’s bandoliers.
Originally it had fielded small cell bandoliers that had more cells that could hold either 20rd boxes of ammunition OR 20rd magazines. As the US had replaced all of it’s short 20rd magazines, it no longer needed so many pockets as a similar load could be carried with less magazines and bigger boxes. Instead they moved to the 4 cell bandolier.
Features 4 pockets that can hold 120 rounds of ammunition total. This is in cardboard boxes on 10rd stripper clips (x3) or as 4 30rd magazines. In order to fit 30rd magazines, just pull the white string to remove it.
These may include a safety pin, but are not guaranteed to. They do not include stripper clips. The safety pin is traditionally used to either pin the bandolier to your shirt so you don’t lose it, or to change the length of the strap to what is convenient and comfortable.
