US Humanitarian Daily Ration
One of the only truly Humanitarian things that the US has dropped on a country from the air!
IMPORTANT NOTE: If ordering 10 of these, please do not order anything else. We will ship the case at our regular flat rate and eat the difference in price as our cost savings for you. If you want more than 10, please only order in batches of 10.
Humanitarian Daily Rations (or HUMRAT for short) were developed to feed large populations of displaced people in emergencies or war. They were developed to be able to feed populations around the world, and so a strict guideline during their production is that they contain no animal products - so they can be used by people of all religious faiths and cultures. They contain 2 proper meals and a load of snacks, meant to feed someone who is displaced, but not as active as a soldier (who would receive a regular MRE which contains 3 meals + snacks, etc). The bag is adorned with American flags and instructions on how to open and eat the ration. We especially love the text that describes them as a “food gift from the people of America” on the front.
The Humanitarian Daily Ration has been in use for decades and is still in use today, be it abroad in peacekeeping missions or in the USA itself for disaster relief.

Field Notes/Misty Supply Musings/Potential Uses/Trivia
Although these MREs are meant to sustain a civilian for 24hrs, if you are using them as a field ration, I recommend pairing them with one of our Specpit freeze dried rations to round it out to 3 proper meals and accessories. You will burn a lot of calories in the field and require more than if you aren’t doing arduous activities, which is what these were originally designed for.
Perfect for gifts, bugout bags, display items, camping trips, emergency food for your car or disaster preparedness and more!
These are generally difficult to find in any sort of quantity, but we managed to find a couple of pallets for the first time since 2022! These were stored in PERFECT conditions in a FEMA warehouse and now we’ve trucked them up north to our temperature controlled warehouse to bring them to you. Once they’re gone, we’ll do our best, but it’s been tough to get these in recent years.
