US Army ALICE Pack
The US Army developed the ALICE system towards the end of the conflict in Korea and pioneered it with the start of the Vietnam War. It was used until very recently; and has retained many of the same features throughout the years - but with molle instead of alice clips towards the end of its life in the US Armed Forces.
These packs can be used on their own, or mounted on frames for heavier loads. They feature a rainproof cover and waterproof pouch inside the main pocket. The main pocket can be cinched down to protect your equipment.
