US AN/PVS-2 Starlight Scope
It’s a starmaaaan aiming in the niiiight
Behold. These were the pinnacle of night vision technology in the late Vietnam war. These units were built to be mounted to a variety of US weaponry and went on to serve for decades in the US Military. They are a fixed 4x magnification scope (with a reticle) that weighs in at a whopping 6lbs. If you were mounting this to an M16A1, it would double the weight of the system. Wow! These scopes are no slouch though sporting excellent clarity for being Gen 1 devices. These were a huge jump in technology at the time because they no longer needed an active (IR light being emitted in order to provide a clear picture) light in order to see, the stars were enough, hence Starlight Scopes.
This scope is a WORKING AND TESTED example. It includes all you see in the photos. The scope itself, rubber eyepiece, picatinny rail adapter metal transit case and instructional manual. It includes a wired in adapter to use AA batteries.
NOTE: Due to weight, please order this item on it’s own. If you wish to fully insure it, please contact us and we can organize this.
