OCP (OPERATIONAL CAMOUFLAGE PATTERN)
After many years of service by the United States Military, (UCP) Universal Camouflage Pattern was (finally) deemed inadequate for the camouflage needs of the United States. Faced with many fronts of combat of varying camouflage and realizing UCP was not the answer, the United States Army Camouflage Improvement Effort considered multiple replacements. Of these the Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP), was one of the selected camouflage patterns. It was adopted officially in 2015 and phasing out UCP in full by 201. Originally under the code name of Scorpion W2 it was actually an unused older design created by state sponsored Natick Labs in Collaboration Crye Precision as part of a program known as Objective Force Warrior.
