Spanish M1921 Helmet
The M1921 helmet was, you guessed it, produced initially in 1921. Although it was developed alongside the M1926, it was never formally adopted. It was later replaced entirely by the M1926, thus making this helmet an especially rare piece. It can be seen in use sparingly during the Spanish Civil War of 1936 (see gallery). As far as we have been able to gather, only 12,000 of these helmets were ever produced.
This helmet is over 100 years old and thus has some wear and tear. The leather is intact, but the helmet has rust on it and the paint has chipped and flaked in many places. Despite this, it is clear it was at one point green, so this helmet is was refurbished during the 1940s and likely saw more usage judging by its condition.
