The Soviet AI-2 Medkit, also known as the Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK), was a medical kit designed for use by soldiers in the Soviet Union. The Medkit was primarily designed for use by soldiers and civilians in the Soviet Union. It was intended to be carried by individuals in the case of a nuclear strike. In addition to its use in the Soviet Union, the AI-2 Medkit was also exported to other countries. It was used by various countries, including Cuba, Vietnam, and North Korea.
PLEASE NOTE: The Medkit does not include any chemicals below nor does it include the needle. (Both of which were definitely looted countless times from these medpacks by, er, undesirable individuals with certain tendencies during the collapse of the USSR)
Contains
Large white vial: 15 tablets of sulfadimethoxine (antibiotic)
Small white vial: 10 tablets of potassium iodide (protects against radioactive iodine)
Blue vial: 5 tablets of etaperazine (as an antiemetic, used to prevent vomiting)
Raspberry vials: 6 tablets of cystamine (reduces the effect of radiation)
Clear vials: 5 tablets of chlortetracycline at a dosage of 6mg (antibiotic)
Russian Instruction manual: on the application and uses of kit (In Russian, duh)
