SADF Nutria Brown RP8 Parachute Rucksack w/ Frame
An SADF Parchutist Rucksack. These are exceedingly rare. We couldn’t find a single other listing on the internet for one. Functionally it is very similar to the Pattern 83 rucksack with only minor differences (See the frame and straps for most obvious differences).

The flap has been inscribed by its previous owner. As best as we can make it out (as it is faded) it says “Remember!!! Anything you want that’s valuable requires that you break through short term pain in order to gain long term pleasure” which as best as we can tell is attributed to Tony Robbins, a motivational speaker and coach who famously released self help tapes and ran seminars when this gear was issued (and seems to still be active). There is something somewhat amusing about a self help tape quote being scrawled on a paratroopers rucksack with a ballpoint pen.
