The Pattern 70 was the spiritual successor to the British Pattern 58 webbing, being of a similar and heavy duty (emphasis on heavy) construction but with more modularity and a larger focus on sustainment.
The Pattern 70 Patrol Pack is well thought-out and can be worn without the P70 set by using its shoulder strap.
It features:
Belt attachment point on the rear
Loops and buckles to allow the attachment of a sleeping bag, pickaxe or e-tool to be attached
Two FN FAL magazine pouches attached (one on each side)
Drainage eyelets on the bottom of the pack
