Russian SSO Smersh AK Rig
Behold, the almighty Smersh. Loved by many, hated by… not really anyone. Its a classic bit of Russian kit. Drawing on the beltkit of yore and improving upon it, the Smersh allows you to carry 8 AK style magazines (STANAGS, VZ58 mags and Type 81 mags all work) and a bunch of hand grenades (almost fit a beer can perfectly). Comes with a spacious waterproof buttpack for carrying your sustainment kit as well as a small pouch that holds a notebook or a bandage handily on your chest.
Super comfortable, super adjustable and just a great piece of kit. Comes highly recommended from the Misty Mountain Supply team; as we have extended experience using these rigs in rough terrain and over large distances. Special tip from Misty: You can clip a small strapless pack to the webbing on the back and carry a small bag + your buttpack comfortably. This effectively doubles the amount of things you can carry.
