Russian Flora (VSR98) Parka w/ Liner

CA$250.00

The newly formed Russian Federation was in need of a standard pattern to distinguish themselves from their Soviet past just as much as they needed a pattern that actually blended in to European foliage. Enter VSR93, VSR93 was widely regarded to be too dark for many areas and was phased out in favor of VSR98, known as “Flora” or “Watermelon”.

Flora parkas were produced in high numbers to supply the Russian military which was in the middle of fighting the Second Chechen War, though very few of these parkas actually appear outside of Russia as it still is kept in storage to be given out to “Russian Proxy Forces” such as the DPR, in which it still sees service to this day despite being replaced by Digiflora officially beginning in 2011.

These parkas are 100% cotton, so they are incredibly comfortable, but they are on the heavy side. Please order them separately as with the Liner they are quite bulky for shipping and will need to go in their own box.
