Russian Army Esmarch Tourniquet

CA$12.00
sold out

These rubber tourniquets were originally created in 1908 and have been used since mostly by hospitals, paramedics and medics of primarily European forces. They are made of a flexible rubber construction which gives them their “hubba bubba” like pink colour. The tourniquet, like other tourniquets is meant to be placed a few inches above a serious/arterial bleed and then tightly affixed.

Now although these are a inexpensive tourniquet, we only recommend them for LARP purposes. They make great stock wraps, cheek risers or parts of impression kits or collections.. However they do not make great tourniquets in an emergency.

Year of production: 2020 (Rated for 5 years by the company producing them)

These are not being sold with any suggestion to use these for a medical emergency. Our team at Misty Mountain Supply has years of paramedic experience involving serious bleeds in a prehospital setting and NEVER would have wanted to use a device such as these. If you are looking for something for deadly bleeds, please get a CAT tourniquet from a reputable dealer. They are durable, can tension better, are easier to pack and easier to train with. They are literally better in every way and we say this from a place of experience: You do not want to be guessing or hoping in an emergency.
