The lightest and simplest can opening device ever created!
The P-38 was originally issued to soldiers with their rations to provide a lightweight tool that could be used to open their canned meals. It’s also been known to work in a pinch as a makeshift screwdriver using the flat end.
At only 1.5” in length, it is incredibly small which makes it a fantastic addition to any survival kit. Simply fold out the “cutting edge” and “walk” it along the edge of the can while puncturing along the way to open with ease!
These are not original issue as they’re getting trickier to find, but given the simplicity of the device - a reproduction is absolutely suitable to accomplishing the task.
