French Lizard Tarpaulin

Only 2 left in stock

Before the poncho shelter, there was the mighty tarpaulin.

In the 1950s, the French adopted "Lizard" as their national camo ; as such, everything from hats to uniforms were produced in the new camouflage. Inside that group of new camouflaged items was the mighty Tarpaulin. A Tarpaulin is.. Well, a tarp. But, with buttons. It can be worn as a rain cape, used as cover for a fighting position, or even used as a tent when buttoned together with a second tarpaulin.

These date from the 1950s and may have minor repairs or fading, but are free from holes and perfectly functional. We were lucky to get out hands on a few of these, but they do not pop up often and its unlikely we will have the opportunity to bring in multiple like this again.
