French Military Gasmask Filters
The Display Piece to Finish Your Display Pieces
Got a cool all hell French gas mask or other nation’s gas mask tucked away in a display case missing that finishing touch? Don’t wanna waste a perfectly good and new filter on it? A niche need for a niche market, which our niche store is happy to supply! These standardized NATO pattern filters were part of the CF series, made specifically for the French Armed Forces and generally end up being used throughout the 90s on many of their gas masks, including their iconic ARF-A gas masks. These filters are also used by a few branches of the Italian Army, the Italian Red Cross and the Portuguese army, and many more, so plenty of options for different display pieces if you’re a stickler for authenticity. Grab one today as the coolest paperweight you can own, or to finish off the cool gasmask you shove on your mannequin!

Field Notes/Misty Supply Musings/Potential Uses/Trivia
NOTE: Often, these CF F3 filters are incorrectly assumed to be able to fit GOST style and NATO threaded masks, being labeled as having “normalized' threading. This is untrue, and beware if one were to thread it into a GOST mask you’ll likely end up destroying the gas mask’s threads, and in the case of working filters, operators would fail in achieving a safe seal. Unfortunately, a GOST compatible version of the CF series does not exist. Though for those 40mm GOST lovers, we do have sealed CBRN filters available for you as well!
These filters are metal, you don’t see that much anymore, even in the 1990s.
