East German UVT Combat Top (RARE AND UNISSUED)

At the sunset of the East German Nation, the brightest minds of their Military came together and decided on a plan in which they would modernize their military rapidly to match their NATO foes. This meant new webbing, new weapons, new vehicles and new ways of waging war.

This never came to fruition. In 1989, East Germany dissolved and reunified with West Germany. The UVT program was partially carried out, but not in large numbers. There are pieces floating around on the surplus market, but it is rare to see more than a piece or two here and there - especially since many don’t know about the program in the first place.

These uniforms were meant to be the next generation fighting uniform of the DDR. It features 4 chest pockets and two shoulder pockets. It also has an adjustable waist cinch. These mark a considerable upgrade to the previous combat shirt of the East German Military. It also features the “late type” rank holder and has no room for shoulder boards or epaulettes. Funny enough, these are VERY similar to BDU shirts and even feature the same “Elvis” type collar.

These shirts are EXCEEDINGLY rare and are in UNISSUED condition. It is unlikely we will ever get a restock. Once these are gone, they are GONE. A grail piece for any East German collector.
