DDPM (Desert Disruptive Pattern Material)
A desert iteration of the classic British camouflage DPM saw its first use in the 80’s at the beginning of the conflicts in the Gulf. This new camouflage, known as DDPM (Desert Disruptive Pattern Material) saw wider adoption as the Global War on Terror kicked off at full swing. This widespread adoption evolved and saw use not only by the British Army, but also by many Middle Eastern countries, from members of the Coalition including Kuwait, the Indonesian National Armed Forces. Even less friendly-to-the-coalition players such as the Syrian Armed forces and even the Iraqi Republican Guard.

Measurements:
British Standard Sizing
British Standard Sizing is generally calculated by looking at the first two numbers provided in the dropdown of item sizes (for example: 80/85). The first number is the length of your inseam, or inside length leg, calculated in centimeters. The second number provided is the intended waist size.
FOR EXAMPLE: The measurement 80/85 means that this item is intended for a 80 centimeter leg inseam and an 85 centimeter waist. The third number can mostly be ignored, but it is your “seat” size.
Condition:
Very good, mostly unused surplus
Manufacturing: PolyCotton Blend Build
Seventy percent Polyester
Thirty Percent Cotton
Field Notes/Misty Supply Musings/Potential Uses/Trivia
While the “Tropical” doesn’t apply to this being a cool Hawaiian camouflage and the environment of intended use, this environmental configuration definitely is very fitting of the name, and makes a great choice for those looking to build a kit for each season!
