Working in a tank is tough work, so it makes sense that the crew would be issued equipment to excel in a cramped and often hot space. These gloves are fire retardant and provide some insulation while still allowing the user to complete dexterous tasks.
Mr. Misty Advice: Having taken these out on a high altitude winter hike for insulation as an experiment, I can personally attest to them providing some warmth… HOWEVER, when it was colder than -10 and a damp foggy cold, it no longer did the trick. Meant for some cold or handling warm objects, but not for more “extreme” temperatures.
For sizing, these fit big. It is safe to order a size down from your regular glove size.
