Belgian Jigsaw 120L Rucksack
Love It Or Hate It, We Ain't Here To Debate It.
Ah, Belgian Jigsaw Camouflage, what can we say? This atrocity or piece of artwork (depending on your opinion) forever will have a place in our hearts, or will be seared into your retinas. This particular rucksack was introduced to the Belgian Defense Forces (Dutch: Defensie, French: La Défense) in the 90’s, however the Jigsaw Camo roots go back to 1956 where it was first adopted by Belgian Para-commando forces. This exclusivity didn’t last long, as it was soon integrated into being a standard camo for the rest of the Defense Forces. It was only in 2022 that the Belgian Defense Forces decided to fully phase it out in favour of the less than unique Multicam, like many other NATO nations. Love it or hate it, we can promise this item will only impress and outdo expectations, regardless of opinions on its colour scheme. With a ridiculous amount of storage space, and a modular interior and exterior, embrace the Jigsaw, embrace the Eyesore, and embrace Belgian excellence.
Features
Padded straps and waist belt to keep you moving comfortably
Lower zipper allows the main compartment to be turned into two separate ones
Includes a pouch with zipper for the top of the rucksack, with two straps that allow for attaching additional gear
Frame inserts made of aluminium ensure lightweight transportation and pack rigidity
Left shoulder strap has an ACW quick release buckle
Drawstrings at the opening ensure a secured load while rucking
Waterproof build allows for a dry interior regardless of weather
Side pouches can be removed via zippers and turned into a day pack by zipping them together, allowing you to leave the main rug behind. Included are two padded shoulder straps that can be attached to the pouches to allow transportation of day packs.
Shoulder straps are modular and can be set up in the best way possible for users to distribute the weight of the day pack.
Includes fastener loops at the top and bottom of the pack for attaching many forms of gear, from a roll up sleeping back, a compression sack, a tent.
Capacity
100-120 Liters (Main Pack is 100 Liters, each side pouch is 10L)
Condition: Used but good condition (may have some fading or minor defects)
Manufacturing
100 Percent polyamide/nylon
Field Notes/Misty Supply Musings/Potential Uses/Trivia
The good news of Belgium’s Multicam switch is that we are being hit with waves of fresh Jigsaw surplus (more than we know what to do with…) such as this excellent condition ruck! Completely new and unused despite its age!
I cannot understate the utility of this pack. I personally use the Russian clone of it and have loved it for years at this point. One of my favorite features is that I can leave my main pack at camp and take the essentials with me in the side pouches when zipped together and used as a daypack
Being able to take your sleeping gear out of the bottom without disturbing the rest of the contents is incredibly handy and incredibly easy with the bottom zip on this pack!
Due to the incredible value and construction of these packs, we do not expect them to last long. You do NOT want to miss these if you are a serious outdoors person, camper or larper alike.
