Austrian Bundesheer Canteen w/ OD Cover
Cold Water Canteens for the Cold War
A real simple find for y'all but one that's definitely a worthy purchase for a fair price. If you’re much like us here at Misty Mountain Supply, you’re always looking to fill the void and empty the wallet with lil bits of addition to kit or the surplus collection. Canteens tend to be an overlooked purchase that comes last for many, until they’ve realized much too late during a ruck, either because they didn’t bring one at all, or their wife’s Lululemon hydro flask is empty. (This is not a job, if you feel personally attacked, our condolences) Bottom line, it doesn't hurt to have another flask on your kit, and not everyone wants to shell out for a camelback, a camelback carrier, the tube, and the cleaning kit. Hell, if you’ve met all the bases we previously described, then why not simply add to a collection? That Austrian kit impressionism ain’t gonna build itself, gotta start somewhere!

Field Notes/Misty Supply Musings/Potential Uses/Trivia
As this is an Austrian product, this will make an excellent means of living up to the legacy of a certain prolific Austrian bodybuilder… use it to stay hydrated at the gym, and as they say “When in Vienna…”
Mr. Misty himself uses surplus canteens for purifying his water when innawoods. Clip the canteen pouch to the outside of your pack, take it off when you encounter a stream, fill up the canteen, drop in a purifying tablet, wait the manufacturer’s intended time for it to purify, then top up your camelbak. You can never have too much water with you when hiking, camping or larping it up
Fun fact: The belt clips on the rear of the canteen cover are manufactured by Glock. Yes that Glock.
