Once considered the best body armor in the world.
The M-69 Flak Vest is iconic. No argument there. It was adopted by the US in 1968 and issued to troops as quickly as possible to replace the M-1955. It featured several upgrades in terms of comfort and utility. It is easily the most recognizable piece of protective equipment from the Vietnam War aside from the M1 helmet.
These vests are incredibly uncommon to see, and when they are - generally are pretty beat up.
These are PRISTINE. They were in storage since the Vietnam War due to stockpiles being given to the ARVN to continue the fight for years after the US pulled out (which didn’t exactly play out).
These were specifically made for the ARVN in the USA (1970 dated), so the tags are mostly in Vietnamese.
Size SMALL (ARVN Sizing) Only.
