SADF Nutria Brown Pathfinder Cap
South Africa makes their own Keko Cap
This unique South African take on the traditional "Keko" style hat was issued in relatively small numbers to qualified Pathfinders. Given the somewhat complex design, with a velcro secured neck flap, the standard issue Nutria Brown issue were by far a more popular choice for Pathfinders in the field according to former Pathfinder Sergeant Major Peter McAleese. Despite being relegated mostly to garrison use, the aesthetic design reflects to constant forward thinking of South African clothing engineers during the Border War era.
Size 58cm only.
