British South Africa Police Plaque (Original)
Plaques! Yes! These were all the rage in the 1970s!
The British South Africa Police (BSAP) was founded in 1889 and existed until the fall of Rhodesia and transfer to Zimbabwe in 1980. It remained named the BSAP despite Rhodesia declaring independence out of tradition, so do not confuse it for a the SAP (South Africa Police). The BSAP were not only a police group, but also actually fought in several battles throughout the Bush War and had several elite units that specialized and were deployed regularly throughout the conflict.
This plaque was made to commemorate the BSAP in the 1970s and is original. Features a hole in the rear for wall mounting.
