The Royal Salisbury Golf Club was founded in 1899 and due to the frost free and mild winters of Rhodesia, made for an incredibly popular establishment in the capital city for leisure. The title “Royal” was conferred on the club when the Prince of Wales visited Rhodesia and spent time playing there in the 1920s. The club had fees of a whopping 2$ a year!
This plaque was made to commemorate the club in the 1970s and is original. Features a hole in the rear for wall mounting.
