Rhodesian MOTH Plaque
MOTHs, or Memorable Order Of the Tin Hats, is essentially the Legion of South Africa and formerly Rhodesia. They were (and continue to be) a charitable organization that supports active and former servicemembers of Africa. The organization was founded in 1927 and continues to this day!
The “Shell Hole” term has been used by MOTHs essentially since it’s inception as the slang for their bars. This plaque would have been at the Salisbury location until the change to Zimbabwe in 1980.
